UAE real estate development company Binghatti partnered with luxury jewelry firm Jacob & Co to build a new building in Business Bay, Dubai, expected to become the world’s tallest residential building upon completion, Design Boom on November 17 reported. Binghatti CEO Muhammad Binghatti and Jacob & Co president Jacob Arabo arrived at the construction site and announced the start of construction on the building on November 15.

The new building is called Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences and consists of more than 100 floors, but the specific height has not been disclosed. Meanwhile, the world’s tallest residential building today, Central Park Tower, has 98 floors. Central Park Tower is located in New York City, USA, 472.4 m high.

The design image shows Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences with a slender shape, topped by a crown-like structure with sparkling diamond-like spiers reaching towards the sky.

“We took inspiration from the complex movements in Jacob & Co watches and integrated them into the building’s key elements. The diamond-shaped spiers atop the building are reminiscent of a crown. This is a sophisticated and unique decorative detail inspired by Jacob & Co’s skillfully cut gems,” said Binghatti.

Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences consists of two and three bedroom apartments, luxury penthouses, and has many amenities such as an infinity pool overlooking Downtown Dubai, gym, spa. The building also has a special service with its own bodyguards, chauffeurs and chefs.
